1. Should the United States government reinstate the military draft? They should reinstate the military draft because one reason if we werein a war and the rest of the soldiers are in Iraq and Aghastan. Whereare we going to get more soldiers from to help win the war? They needthe draft so they could get more soldiers when they need them to beable to win the war. Another reason they need to have the draft ifthe people that were drafted join the war with the army, they couldjoin the soldiers and they have more people to fight the war and havea better chance of winning. The last reason we should have a draft is so can fight more than one war be having more people go to war. They can fight more than one enemy be fighting two wars at different places. For example: one army can fight in Italy and the other in Iraq.
2. Should fast food companies be held legally liable for the impact of their product on consumers? (If you eat fast food everyday and become unhealthy, should you be able to sue the fast food company?) No because it was their fault for eating to much hamburgers, fries, sodas,milkshakes, pies, etc. It depends on what size they order it. Do they order it small, medium, or large? It the persons fault for ordering a lot of food and then making in it a large combo. Another way they got fat is probably they go to the fast food place almost everyday or everyday. They go every single day and buy food in that fast food place for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They don't exercise all that calories, they just sit down watching tv or on the computer. The last reason they are unhealthy because they don't eat healthy food. They only eat junk food and don't order any salads or vegetables with it. When they do get vegetables with it, they probably take it off. They just eat the burger with the meat and grease only with the fries and soda. All they care about is the taste and not about if they want to be healthy or not.
3. Should America public schools be allowed to set aside daily classrooms time for student prayer? (Remember, we have freedom of religion as well as separation of church and state) No because, school should only be a place to learn. It's not place of prayer, a school is a place to learn things that will help you get a good career. If you pray in class, it will take from you learning the stuff you need to know when you are an adult. You can pray at home all you want but not in school. Another reason not to, is that some students are not Christian or Catholic. They have no religion at all. They probably don't like Christians or Catholics. They might beat up one during or after school because they he or she praying. The last reason is the person would not learn anything because they would just be praying. It won't help them because how is praying going to help you be an engineer if you don't know how to do add, subtract, multiply, or divide numbers.
4. Should same sex marriages be legal in the United States? I think not because it kind of bad that same sex marriages should be married because then they would be in the streets holding hands and kissing in front of everyone in the streets. People in the streets would feel uncomfortable because they don't like men who like men and they don't like women who like women. They just like normal couples that men like women and women that like men. Another reason is that it will be dad if kids saw that because then hey would grow liking the people in the same gender as them. Their parents would not like them being like that. They want their children to grow up and have kids. The last reason is that they could get a disease if they sexual relations with the person in the same gender as them. The disease may spread to other people in the same gender and they could die of that disease.
5. Should couples consider global populations issues before deciding to have a child? Yes because it depends on the situation of the population. One example is there is not enough food for everyone. How is a couple going to feed a baby if they don't have enough food for themselves? They would tart to get skinny and will eventually die of hunger. Another reason is if there is an earthquake, tsunami, tornado, or hurricane is coming right know and they have a baby with them, how are they going to protect it? If the tornado or whatever hits them, they would get killed because of the damage the tornado caused to their home and to themselves and the baby. The last reason is almost any can happen when you have a baby. Their might be a drought, no food, a volcano erupts, etc. You can never be prepare for anything because it can happen anywhere at anytime of day and year that you are alive and breathing.
